Website and WordPress repair
Site down, slowed to a crawl, or throwing an error after an update? I fix WordPress and custom-built sites — PHP, JavaScript, databases and server side. Most faults are resolved the same day they are reported.
Details
- Problem localization and finding solutions with minimal system risks
- Installation of additional tools and plugins
- Server-side configuration
- Website media content management
- Setup of automatic site backups on server + Google Drive
- Testing and fixing minor issues accompanying the main problem.
How I work
- 1Find out what is actually happening — in the logs, the code, the server. Not 'let us try reinstalling'.
- 2Tell you what it is and how much work it is, before touching anything.
- 3Back up first, fix second. Never the other way round.
- 4Fix it and check what sits next to it — faults travel in groups.
- 5Set up automated backups so the next fault is not expensive.
What I get called about
- A white screen after a WordPress or plugin update.
- A site loading slowly, which Google reflects in rankings.
- A form that appears to submit while no email arrives anywhere.
- A site infected with spam, redirects or someone else's code.
- A working site with broken measurement — analytics shows visits but no enquiries.
- The previous supplier vanished and nobody knows where the site runs or who holds the access.
Why having someone nearby helps
When a site is down, every day costs something. I am in Bratislava, in your time zone and on your working hours — no waiting until morning for someone on the other side of the world to wake up. The invoice carries a Slovak company number, and when something has to be sorted with a Slovak host or registrar, I speak their language.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a fix cost?
The hourly rate is 35 EUR. Most ordinary faults take one to three hours. I estimate after diagnosis, before starting.
How fast can you fix it?
Most faults the same day. For anything more involved I give a date right after diagnosis.
Will you fix a site you did not build?
Mostly those. WordPress, Shoptet, PHP, Python, JavaScript — the platform does not matter.
Do you need access?
Yes, to the admin and ideally the hosting over FTP or SSH. If you have lost the access, I can help recover it.
What if the site is hacked?
Back up the current state, remove the malicious code, close the hole it came through, then set up protection. Cleaning without closing the hole is pointless.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes. If the same fault returns, I deal with it without another invoice.
