A website for a beauty salon: online booking confirmed through Telegram

A beauty salon website usually has a few interior photos, a list of services without prices, a phone number and an Instagram link. Booking happens by phone or in Instagram messages, and while the specialist's hands are busy, the message waits and the client writes to the salon next door.

Below: what the site of a salon, barbershop, nail studio or massage practice has to do to book on its own, how the Telegram confirmation works at Krása štúdio OK in Ružinov, what it costs, and when a site is not needed yet.

Need a new website?

A company site, an online shop or a booking system. Most projects ship within 15 working days.

What a client looks for on a salon website

The order hardly changes:

  1. What you do and what it costs. Services with prices and duration. "Price on request" reads as "expensive".
  2. Who will do it. Name, photo, speciality. People book a person more readily than a salon.
  3. When you are free. Real slots, not "tell us when suits you".
  4. Booking without a phone call. In the evening, at lunch, on the bus.
  5. What it looks like. Photos of the place and of finished work, not stock images.
  6. Where it is and where to park. Address, map, entrance.

All of it on one phone screen. A site where the price list sits in a PDF and booking means "call us" loses the client at step three.

Why the phone and Instagram stop scaling

One person and word-of-mouth clients: the phone and Instagram messages work. Two or three people, each with their own schedule: they stop.

A request lands while the specialist has a client in the chair; she replies an hour later, and the client has booked elsewhere. The barber keeps appointments in the notes app, his colleague in a paper diary, and nobody sees the whole picture.

The usual answer is "let's put a form on the site". But a form that sends an email saves nothing: someone has to see it, call the client back and agree a time. Booking starts when the client sees the free slots, picks one and gets a confirmation without anyone calling her.

How the Telegram confirmation works

A salon booking cannot be confirmed fully automatically the way a shop confirms an order, because a salon sells one person's time. The specialist falls ill, the previous procedure runs twenty minutes over, somebody took a day off and the schedule does not know yet. A system that confirms on its own confirms slots that do not exist.

That is why booking at Krása štúdio OK works like this:

  1. The client picks a service, a specialist and a time from the free slots on the site.
  2. The staff get a message in Telegram. Instantly, not when someone opens the email.
  3. One tap and the booking is confirmed. The client receives her confirmation, the slot closes on the site.

No admin panel to log into between two clients: Telegram is already open on the phone, and between procedures there is a minute, not ten.

The bot is written in Python and runs on the salon's own hosting, so nobody collects a monthly fee for it. The same link runs at Biliardovňa for table booking and at TOP SKLAD for storage units. More on the mechanics: an online booking system.

Double booking is the most expensive mistake a salon makes: two clients at the same time with the same specialist, one waits, the other leaves for good, and the Google review costs more than any website. It happens when appointments live in three places that nobody merges, or when the site checks availability on page load rather than on submission.

So the slot has to lock the moment the staff tap "confirm", and the site has to check availability again on every submission. WordPress booking plugins, which many salons already have, often fall short here: confirmation by email, no Telegram, double bookings let through, and a monthly fee for every further feature.

A ready-made service or your own booking

Bookio, Reservio, Fresha and the like have their place.

A practical test: if you have one specialist and standard services, a ready-made service is a sensible start. Own booking pays off with several people on different schedules, when the client should stay on your site rather than in a catalogue next to the salon next door, and when the client data should remain yours.

Several languages for a salon in Bratislava

A salon in Bratislava sees clients who read Slovak easily and clients who do not. For some, Russian or Ukrainian is the only language in which they will calmly choose a procedure; sometimes English joins the list. They are the ones who find a salon through Google rather than through friends.

Technically one thing matters: each language on its own URL, linked with hreflang, not a switcher that swaps words over one page. Otherwise Google cannot tell which version to show to whom and shows none properly. Krása štúdio OK runs this way in Slovak, Russian and Ukrainian. Slovak stays the base; why, I explain in do you need a Slovak-language website.

The Google profile comes first, the site second

A client searching for "manicure Ružinov" or "barbershop Petržalka" first sees the map and the Google profiles: photos, reviews, opening hours. Fill it in honestly, with real photos and the district in the description. Reviews decide; asking a happy client for one after the procedure is the cheapest marketing there is.

The site is the second step: price list, specialist, booking. A Google profile cannot take bookings, only send people on, so its "Book" button should lead straight to the booking page, not the home page.

Instagram stays the shop window, but booking in its messages takes you back to the problem above; the link in the bio should point to the site.

Measurement: a booking is a conversion

Page views will not tell you whether the site helped. The minimum in GA4: booking started, booking completed, phone click, route click on the map. Then you see where clients drop off: at the specialist, at the time, or at the contact details. How to set it up: GA4 setup.

What the law requires

A salon is a business, and the site has to show it: the registered name, the registered office, IČO, DIČ, the registration entry (the full list). If the site carries analytics or advertising, a cookie bar with Consent Mode v2 (more on that).

What a salon website does not need, and when it is not needed at all

What to skip:

  • A long "about us" story. Two sentences and photos of the people.
  • Stock photos. A model who has never set foot in the salon lowers trust more than an empty space. Ten of your own: the place and the results.
  • A blog. A salon does procedures, not articles; a blog with one post from launch year does harm.

And when a site is not needed yet: one specialist, fully booked weeks ahead, clients by word of mouth. A Google profile with photos and reviews plus Instagram is enough. A site starts to pay when a second person joins, or when you want strangers to find you.

What it costs

  • A landing page with one offer and a booking form from 1 500€.
  • A salon website with its own booking, services with prices, staff and several languages from 3 500€.
  • Changes and adding booking to an existing site at 35€/hour.

On average I deliver in 10 working days, and 90% of projects fit within 15. Included in the salon website: Telegram confirmation, the Google profile linked, booking measurement, the cookie bar, the mandatory company details, 6 months of support. The domain, hosting and every account are registered to you, not to me. A detailed breakdown: what a website costs.

If you need help

I build websites for salons, barbershops and studios with booking that the staff confirm with one tap in Telegram and that closes taken slots on its own. My part is the site, the booking, the Google profile and the measurement. I do not run the salon's Instagram, do not take photographs, do not register the company and do not handle licences.

I have lived in Slovakia for more than ten years and have launched 12+ websites for Slovak companies, among them with booking: Krása štúdio OK, Biliardovňa, TOP SKLAD. I work as a Slovak s.r.o. in Bratislava, invoice with an IČO, and work in Slovak and Russian. A similar breakdown for restaurants: a website for a restaurant.
